Last night a student shared these lyrics from a mindfulness song for children. After watching the youtube video I found myself singing the song this morning. I wish I’d had this perspective in middle school (and in my twenties)!

Interpersonal Conflict

What childhood conditioning are we relying on as we hear difficult words from others and from ourselves?

“Here comes a thought
That might alarm me
What someone said
And how it harmed me
Something I did
That failed to be charming,
Things that I said are
Suddenly swarming, and oh,
I’m losing sight,
I’m losing touch,
All these little things seem
To matter so much
That they confuse me
That I might lose me”

Lyrics above start around 1:25)

May all beings be happy~
