Meditation is something only we can do for ourselves, but we don’t have to do it alone. In fact, under the best circumstances we have the support of someone who knows more than we do, and we have a community of people who are similarly invested.

Because it can sometimes be difficult to find these conditions, I have listed resources–online audio, favorite books, etc.–that I’ve used when I was on my own. These resources, the talks and writings of the Recommended Teachers in particular, have been invaluable supports to me.
